The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 global initiatives aimed at addressing a broad range of social, economic and development concerns.
Currently, development finance institutions and philanthropic funders are actively committing capital toward these goals. However, there exists today an average annual funding "gap" of approximately US $2.5 Trillion.
This gap will need to be bridged by investments from pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and high-net-worth private clients.
NRJ Capital was founded in 2014 to address this need. We work with stakeholders to deploy the strategic use of development finance and philanthropy to mobilize private capital flows into high-impact sectors.
Our work focuses on 'normalizing' financing mechanisms for impact enterprises thereby reducing pushback from private capital providers to invest in novel structures. We minimize barriers to impact investment so more investors can allocate capital and fund solutions to the most intractable challenges of our day.
We work side-by-side with enterprises driving impact as well as with the providers of private capital to evaluate options and ultimately achieve the financial, social and environmental benefits of mission-related investing.
